I do not like dms that ONLY contain "Hi/Hello/Can I ask a question" or some other variation of that. Having such little context as a first message stresses me out due to previous bad experiences. Please include more context/just state your question in your message: Ex. "Hello, I have a question about xyz." I would feel more comfortable answering since I now know the direction in which the conversation will be heading.

I DO NOT allow people to use my OCs. I don't allow people to use my ocs as their own character/as their character face claims (ex. Roleplay/D&D) If you see someone using my ocs please notify me.
"Can I yume/ocxoc with your ocs?": I am a little more hesitant with this one. Some ocs are off limits as they already have an oc partner that I cannot see them without (ex. Hinari belongs with Tatsuya). Other ocs, like Sol, I am learning to open up to the idea more. So especially if we're already close friends, I'd be open to explore an ocxoc as long as they're compatible.

✧. ┊I don't self insert for yumeshipping, I strictly do ocxcanon ships. I do not view my ocs as me in any form, they are their own characters. Please do not refer to me as my ocs' names.
✧. ┊I don't do fidelity, I will not block 'doubles' for your sake. I don't expect you to block my 'doubles' either. It's your responsibility to mute/block people.
✧. ┊ The singular heads up I will give is that if you constantly engage in 'yumetwt drama' or are especially nasty to 'doubles', you'll be blocked. If you follow a dumbass "yumetwt burn book" account or hate page, you're getting blocked. Do whatever you want but I don't want you in my space.

Terms
Yumeship: "Dream ship" - self insert/sona/oc ship with a fictional character. I only do ocxcanon.
F/O: Fictional Other (like Significant Other) and refers to the fictional character you are shipping with.
Doubles: People who ship with the same f/o as you. [I don't like this term very much but alas].
Sharing Status: Refers to someone's boundaries with their f/o and how willing they are to interact with doubles.

What is the "Tide" status?
"Tide" is a term I came up with to describe my personal sharing status/feelings about sharing. I experience a "high tide" and "low tide" when it comes to sharing/interacting. During "high tide" I feel secure and am comfortable interacting with my mutuals' ships of my f/os. During "low tide" I may be going through an insecure period and withdraw from interacting with my mutuals' ships of my f/os. However this is only temporary and when "high tide" returns I am back to engaging with them! I personally differentiate this from the non-sharing label as my feelings fluctuate and I don't feel the need to block my mutuals because it is temporary and I still enjoy their ship. This is how I feel like I can best describe my feelings! Thank you for understanding.

What does "Non-sharing" mean?
Non-Sharing is a sharing status in the yume community, it means I am not comfortable with other ships that have the same f/o as me and would prefer to keep my distance from it. I might mute/block other yumes, but it's only to curate my space. The common misconception is: "So you think you own the character/You want to harass people who like the same character as you." These are both incorrect. I do not own the characters I ship with, they belong to their respective medias. I don't seek to harass people who have the same f/o as me, they have every right to love the same character as me and I'm glad said characters are so loved! I just want to be left in my own bubble, that's all it means.
Honestly, I think the misconceptions come from the fact that it's called "non-sharing", the label at face value does kind of suggest some sort of possession/ownership because of the word "share/sharing". (Even if that's not how its meant) Alas, it is the most common term.

What does "Doubles OK" mean?
[Doubles OK] as I understand, means that I'm okay with yumes of the same character interacting with me. However, they should not bring up their ship with me. I will not engage with their ship but I will interact with them as a follower/friend + other posts unrelated to their ship.

What does "Selective" mean?
"Selective" means that I am selective in which 'doubles' I choose to interact with. For me, I have specific interpretations of the characters I ship with, and if someone's interpretation deviates from that, I am less likely to interact. This is not to say my version of characters are superior or correct! I might also be selective based on how well I think I'll get along with another yume. If our personalities clash, respectfully, I probably won't interact. Despite this, I harbor no ill will towards doubles. Their versions of their f/o are valid and I hope they're all having a good day!

What is "Tide Non-Sharing" / your status with Xiao?
I'll be honest it gets a little convoluted but I'll do my best to explain. I am "Tide Non-Sharing" with Xiao. It's best to just see it as Non-Sharing because I'm so selective with my exceptions to the point it may as well be considered Non-Sharing completely. Currently I have a few exceptions to my Non-Sharing status, but I am not actively seeking out any new xiao yume mutuals. There may be more exceptions in the future but I'm very selective in who I follow back. For the xiao yume mutuals that I do have, I am Tide sharing with them. I will support them but there are times where I might withdraw. I don't mind too much if other xiao yumes follow/interact with me, however I likely won't be interacting with their xiao yumeships or follow back if xiao is their main ship. If that is okay with you, then feel free to interact (I'll reply back!), but if not that is 100% understandable as it doesn't seem very fair to engage and not receive equal support. Thank you for loving xiao, wanting to support me and interact, I sincerely apologize for not being able to extend the same, please don't take it personally!
